Thank you for visiting the North Asheville Academy of Taekwondo website. We hope that you will find the information here useful in selecting a martial arts school. We offer three levels of children's classes with lower ranks, intermediate ranks, and high ranks being separate. This allows us to work on techniques specific to rank and helps to ensure that each child gets the necessary attention needed to become his or her best. Our adult classes are run a bit differently. We have 3-5 black belt level adults present in most every class who can assist newer members in reaching their potential.
It is our philosophy to teach Taekwondo in such a way as to build self confidence in all our students. Not only confidence for personal safety, but also to instill in each student the belief that they are a capable person with the ability to reach their full potential in any area of their lives. It is our hope that the values taught in our classes will extend beyond the training floor and into the everyday life of every student.
With hard work come great rewards. People are often very surprised to find out that not only can they DO a martial art, but with proper training and dedication, they can do it well. All students, regardless of age, will be pushed to exceed their expectations. Quitting is not an option and no one sits on the bench.
Owner and Chief Instructor Robbie Roberts is a 4th Degree Black Belt with the American Taekwondo Foundation and has over 17 years experience teaching Taekwondo. In addition, we have several other instructor trainees assisting with classes as well as higher ranking kids acting as peer leaders for the kid's classes.

From Mars Hill: Hwy. 19/23 South to New Stock Exit. Go left at stop sign and right at 2nd light. Stay straight approx. 1 mile and we are located in Stone Ridge Business Park on the right, beside Subway.
